Witnesses, not facts
Every value is an evaluable claim — carrying the source that acquired it, the time it refers to, its uncertainty, and any disagreement between sources. You can audit a number, not just read it.
Provenance to the byte
Each artefact is fingerprinted with a sha256 ancestry on S3. Every answer names the immutable cube generation it was read from, so any claim can be traced to the exact inputs that produced it.
Replayable by generation
Generations are immutable snapshots. A past state can be re-read as-of its generation; superseded values are retained, never silently overwritten. No back-casting.
Calibrated uncertainty
Uncertainty is reported as expanded (GUM, coverage factor k=2), separate from coverage. Absence is a distinct state — unknown is never coded as zero.
Disagreement kept first-class
Where sources conflict, the conflict is retained and exposed (cross-source deltas, agreement statistics, floor keys) rather than averaged away. You see what would let you doubt the answer.
It refuses to bluff
The engine returns evidence, not verdicts. There is no “best site” score, no risk prior, no bulk scan, and no fabricated value for the future — these refusals are enforced and gate-tested.
The same question returns the same answer — to the byte.
Rankings are bit-identical from the offline bake, through the sha-manifested artefact, to the bytes served from memory — verified by a standing equivalence gate. The maths each value depends on (provenance, uncertainty, significance) is implemented against its cited source and checked by pre-registered falsifiers.
